Washing Instructions
Note: All of my quilts are made with cotton fabric & have been pre-washed using the following instructions. Warm or hot water and high heat will likely cause quilts to shrink. I have had success removing color runs by spot treating and re-washing with Carbona color run remover.

Baby & Larger Quilts
It is recommended that you wash your quilts as infrequently as possible - spot clean as necessary. Otherwise your quilts can be machine washed in cold water with a gentle detergent - no bleach. (I like to wash my quilts with towels or sheets.) Add a color catcher sheet if you like (although of my quilts all quilts have been pre-washed with one).
Dry on low heat until damp (about 20-30 minutes), then air dry.
If storing your quilt after washing, make sure it is completely dry before folding. It is recommended that quilts be folded on the bias/diagonally and/or rolled to store to prevent creasing. Avoid folding your quilt the same way each time.
Your quilt will become softer & more cuddly over time with use.
Smaller Quilted Items
If you need to wash your table runner, mug rug or other small quilted item, I would suggest using a bathtub or small plastic tub. Use cool water and gentle detergent. Agitate the water for several minutes. (If trying to remove a stain you may need to use warmer water - in this case I would attempt to spot clean rather than fully submerge.) Rinse with clean water, gently squeeze to remove excess water then press between a towel. Now that the item is damp, reshape & lay flat to dry. (I like to do this outside if possible.)
